High Museum Atlanta Wine Auction
Founded in 1993, the High Museum Atlanta Wine Auction is the largest fundraising event for the High Museum of Art, the leading art museum in the southeastern United States. Netting more than $1.9 million in 2012, the Wine Auction is the top charity fundraising event in Atlanta, the fifth largest charity wine auction in the U.S., and the number one charity wine auction benefiting the arts.
The funds generated from the auction, which amount to more than $20 million over the last 20 years, are a significant contribution to the Museum's exhibitions and educational programming. Proceeds help to make possible special exhibitions such as Fast Forward: Modern Moments 1913 >> 2013, a continuation of our multi-year collaboration with The Museum of Modern Art, New York, and Frida & Diego: Passion, Politics, and Painting, opening February 2013. The funds raised also support dynamic youth education programs, drawing more than 90,000 schoolchildren already this year.
The High Museum Atlanta Wine Auction will celebrate its twenty-first anniversary this year, March 20-23, 2013.
Old friends and new, world-renowned winemakers, and legendary chefs will come together for four unforgettable days of wine, art, food, and friends. The event schedule includes: the Secret Cellars Tour, the Artist Dinner, Dine Around Dinners, Winemaker Dinners, Friday Night Fête, and the grand finale – the Vintners' Reception and Live Auction, including a Paddle Raise for youth education.
See you in the tents!
