This website was developed for high school students as an interactive learning tool as a preparation for visiting the exhibition Verrocchio's David Restored: A Renaissance Bronze from the National Museum of the Bargello, Florence at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, Georgia, November 18, 2003 February 8, 2004. It provides information about the Italian Renaissance, the artist Andrea del Verrocchio, and his masterpiece David. You may use it in the classroom, assign it to your students for their exploration, or use as extended learning after your Museum experience. Though this website connects directly to the high school curriculum, there are learning opportunities available for elementary and middle school students. Lesson Plans written by teachers for grades 1-12 may be viewed and downloaded, while Resources provide print, video, and web supplemental information so that all students can relive the Renaissance in their classrooms. ![]() |
