    Professional Learning at the High

These two-hour teacher seminars (with the exception “Teaching STEAM”) can be held at the Museum. A minimum of 10 educators are required. The workshops include large group presentations and hands-on activities with expert instructors. Participants will receive course-related lesson plans, bibliographies, and resource materials.

    Visual Literacy Workshop*

Teaching with Primary and Secondary Sources Workshop*
    Grade Level: 4-12

    Getting Physical with Collaborative Art*
    Grade Level: K-2
In this session, participants will see how getting the whole body involved in paint generates excitement and engagement in learning—and it doesn't need to make a mess!

A Year of Art for the Pre-K Child*
    Grade Level: Pre-K
Learn progressive lessons that are designed to build both small motor skills and critical thinking skills in young students through a guided visual art program.

    Grade Level: 6-12
In this interactive session, participants will be able to create their own Artbots and brainstorm ways to bring this innovative technique into their classrooms.

Contemporary Art and the 21st-Century Learner*
    Grade Level: 6-12
In this workshop, teachers will explore the work of local contemporary artists and receive lesson plans and activity suggestions.
