Friends of the Collection

*Museum membership is a prerequisite for joining a Friends group

The High Museum of Art is pleased to announce the creation of Friends of the Collection, a new curatorial-support structure that offers special access to the Museum's eight collecting areas along with curatorial guidance in the building of private collections. Through a gift $1,000 or more, participants will play a pivotal role in aiding collection development at the High.

Friends of the Collection consists of individual support groups encompassing all eight of the Museum's collecting areas. Each curator will work closely with their individual group of committed supporters. By joining with a gift of $1,000 or more (of which $900 is tax-deductible), members enjoy the following benefits:

  • Opportunities to work with the designated curator to make personal collecting choices
  • A bi-annual event with an educational focus organized by the curatorial staff
  • Advance notice and priority registration for general educational programs, as well as the opportunity to socialize with visiting speakers
  • Enrollment in Art Partners membership for programming that ranges from private home tours and lectures to art-related social events
  • Listing in the Museum’s Annual Report
  • Personalized concierge service by the Patron Services Coordinator
