Art Access

Share the High with your students.

Art Access provides metro-Atlanta students a high-quality, dynamic visual arts experience, by offering FREE Museum visits to a limited number of students in all grade levels.

Art Access is available to all school groups who have difficulty visiting the High, based primarily upon economic hardship within their districts. All public schools in Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, Dekalb, Douglas, Fayette, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry and Rockdale counties, along with Atlanta Public Schools, City of Decatur Schools and Marietta City Schools are eligible for this program.

Generous support for Art Access is provided by The Kendeda Fund. Additional support for the Art Access I See Literacy and I See History tours is provided by the Vera A. Milner Memorial Endowment for Children's Education.

What is Art Access?

This all-inclusive field trip program provides:

  • Free admission to the High Museum of Art for students and required chaperones.
  • Payment of school bus transportation invoice, if requested.
  • Free teacher resources, student study guides and related materials for classroom learning before and after a visit to the Museum.
  • "Welcome Back" cards for all participating students, allowing each child to return to the Museum with his or her family one time, free of charge.

Please Note

The deadline for application to the Art Access Program for the 2009-2010 school year has passed.

If you have already submitted your application, you will be notified of your status during the month of October.
