Titian and the Golden Age of Venetian Painting
October 17, 2010, through January 2, 2011 Presenting 25 masterpieces of the Venetian Renaissance collection of the National Galleries of Scotland—12 paintings and 13 drawings, the exhibition will include two of the greatest paintings of the Italian Renaissance, Titian's "Diana and Actaeon" and "Diana and Callisto" (1556–1559), which have never before traveled to the United States. The Dorothy and Herb Vogel Collection

January 29 through June 5, 2011 This exhibition will showcase the recent gift of 50 works from the Dorothy and Herb Vogel Collection. The gift to the High includes superb works on paper by conceptual and minimal artists including William Anastasi, Robert Barry, and Stephen Antonakos. The group includes 27 extraordinary drawings by leading American artist Richard Tuttle.

Henri Cartier-Bresson: The Modern Century
February 19 through May 29, 2011 This first full retrospective in the U.S. in 30 years will showcase Cartier-Bresson's inventive work of the early 1930s that helped define the creative potential of modern photography and his uncanny ability to capture life on the run. Following an exquisite presentation of the best of his early work, the exhibition will be organized into a series of distinct sections. Modern by Design

Modern by Design
June 4 through August 14, 2011 Chronicling MoMA's design collection history and the development of 20th modernism, this exhibition will include nearly 150 works (furniture, glass, ceramics, lighting, product, and industrial design) created by over 120 artists and designers. A companion installation will feature the High's growing collection of contemporary design. Modern by Design continues a multi-year, multi-exhibition collaboration between the High and the Museum of Modern Art, NY.

Radcliffe Bailey: Art of an Ancient Soul

Radcliffe Bailey: Memory As Medicine
June 28 through September 11, 2011 Presenting works created since 1993, this exhibition will highlight the artist's ceaseless experimentation with diverse forms as it looks at the influence of African art on the creative production of this Atlanta-based artist. The exhibition will include many large-scale works with floor and wall sculptures, paintings, works-on-paper, and glass works by Radcliffe Bailey, supplemented by African sculptures.

John Marin's Watercolors: A Medium for Modernism
June 28 through September 11, 2011 Organized by the Art Institute of Chicago, this will be the first major comprehensive exhibition addressing John Marin's (1870 – 1953) modernist achievements in the watercolor medium. Marin turned to watercolor around the time he met and began exhibiting with Alfred Stieglitz in 1909. Though Marin continued working in oil throughout his career, watercolor remained Marin's most experimental method of expression.
