Performance
Jazz: The Sound of Freedom and Resistance
October 4, 2008, 7 p.m.
Robinson Atrium, Stent Family Wing
Free with Museum Admission and free to members.
This special evening performance will feature compositions written in response to the struggle for civil rights by such noted jazz musicians as Max Roach, Charles Mingus and John Coltrane, as well as contemporary expressions by Bobby McFerrin and other composers of our time.

Artist-in-residence Dwight Andrews will lead the Atlanta Jazz Chorus; musicians include nationally recognized vocalist Carmen Lundy and vibraphonist Jay Hoggard, Moffett Morris, Melvin Jones, Che Marshall and Atlanta's own Gary Motley.
