Filmmaker Nahid Persson Sarvestani is an Iranian exile living in Sweden who, as a poor Communist teenager, supported the overthrow of the Shah of Iran in 1979. Sarvestani seeks out the Shah's widow, the still-elegant and pampered Queen Farah—currently a resident of Paris—in this fascinating portrait of two women united by their love of their homeland.
