Tejo Remy, You Can't Lay Down Your Memory Chest of Drawers.
Family Program -  FEATURED EVENT
Installation and Gallery Talk: Tejo Remy's Chest of Drawers
May 15, 2008, 6-8 p.m.
Robinson Atrium, Stent Family Wing
Free with museum admission, free to Museum members
The High asked you to donate drawers for an innovative art commission, and now it's time to see how it all comes together! Dutch designer Tejo Remy comes to the High for a performance and gallery talk during Art in the City. Remy will assemble the museum's recent commission of his 101st edition of "You Can’t Lay Down Your Memory" chest of drawers.

Twenty locally-submitted drawers have been chosen for inclusion in the final work—a fully functional chest of drawers, arranged in a visually engaging, seemingly arbitrary manner and held together by a jute furniture mover's strap.
