A professional metalsmith and jewelry designer, Gillian Gussack has also taught children, teens, and adults in community art education for ten years. She holds a B.F.A. in ceramics from Georgia State University, but has explored a wide variety of media, both two- and three-dimensional, believing that the more skills an artist develops, the better their chances of successfully executing their creative ideas. Gillian now concentrates on figurative ceramics, portraits, graduate school, and exhibiting whenever possible.
Forging and anticlastic raising have been Gillian's focus for the past five years, including studies with Michael Good and Julia Woodman.
Gillian's "Twisted Disc" earrings are intended to be wearable sculptures. Each pair is unique, made of sterling silver with liver of sulphur patina. Their lightness makes them comfortable to wear.
