6:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m.
On the third Friday of every month, mark your calendar for live jazz in the High’s atrium, hosted by Jamal Ahmad from Jazz 91.9 WCLK, Atlanta’s jazz station! Music, drinks, art—no matter the month, every Friday Jazz offers a great lineup featuring different styles of jazz, from straight ahead to free jazz, bebop to swing, and more.
December features the “fluid and fiery” sounds of saxophonist Brian Hogans. A Georgia native, Hogans has performed with Winard Harper, Russell Gunn, and Marcus Printup and has appeared at noted jazz festivals and venues around the world. His solo album on Turnaround Records is titled Evidence of Things to Come, and he can be heard on recordings with Russell Gunn and Sean Jones.
Prepay for guaranteed parking or take MARTA to the Arts Center Station (N5).
Seating for Friday Jazz is limited and opens at 6 p.m. There is no reserved seating. Standing room is plentiful. Friday Jazz is FREE with Museum admission and FREE for members.
