Join artist Mary Margaret Pettway, a third-generation quilter, member of the Gee’s Bend Quilters Collective, and Board Chair of the Souls Grown Deep Foundation; Marquetta Johnson, an artist creating hand-dyed textiles and quilts; multidisciplinary artist Erin Jane Nelson; and Michael Moon, Professor of Women’s, Gender & Sexuality Studies at Emory University, as they take a closer look at the rise of quilts in American museums and what contemporary artists are creating with this medium.
